Integrated Vector-Bourne Disease Management Control for Dengue

On Friday 23rd July 2010, the Minister of Health, Senator the Honourable Therese Baptiste-Cornelis and the CEOs of the Regional Health Authourities met to discuss and share the Integrated Management approach to addressing Dengue nationally.  The approach outlined:

  • Resources (Human/Insecticide)

6. Role of Community

  • Use of insect repellants
  • Nets
  • Knowledge of Vectors

7. Role of the Press

  • To inform the public of what to do to eliminate dengue
