Charitable Cardiac Surgery
The Charitable Cardiac Surgery Programme
facilitates the provision of cardiac surgery to citizens and residents of Trinidad and Tobago.

Target Group
Persons who are  rerferred by a cardiologist after consultation with the medical social works department of the RHAs,  in need of heart surgery and are unable to meet the cost."

How do I access this service?
A patient must be referred by a cardiologist to the Social Works department of the RHA (Regional Health Authority) to which they belong.
A psycho-social assessment is done on the patient and the social worker presents the case to a committee, where a decision is taken.
